Free Summer Tutoring At Learn To Be
Did you know that when students return from summer vacation, teachers can spend months reteaching materials from the previous school year that students have forgotten? Get a Summer Study Buddy with Learn To Be to get ahead this summer!
Students and tutors participating in Learn To Be's Summer Study Buddies program must complete at least 25 hours of 1-on-1 tutoring between June 1 and August 31 to finish the program and earn their rewards!
If you are new to Learn To Be and wish to participate in Summer Study Buddies, simply click the link below to fill out the student enrollment form. Once accepted, sign into your account and click "Enroll in Summer Study Buddies" on your dashboard. There is no application and it's free!

Yes! Tutors can participate in both the Tutor Corps and Summer Study Buddies at the same time. All volunteer hours are eligible to use towards the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
No! If you want to participate, we recommend that you speak with your current student/tutor (if you have one) to encourage them to join as well, but you don't need to work with anyone specific in order to complete the program. You simply need to complete 25+ hours of tutoring-- this can be with 1 match or multiple matches.
Yes! Aside from all the free tutoring they need over the summer, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Summer Study Buddies T-shirt! Tutors will receive a Letter of Recommendation and a Summer Study Buddies T-shirt!
Keep going! We will pull a record of everyone who has completed the program at the end of the summer. We will reach out to you by the 2nd week of September if you've completed the program to let you know how the prize will be distributed. You do not need to submit any final forms.
We will track your hours for you! After enrolling you will see a countdown to complete your summer hours on your dashboard, and you can view all your sessions on your "past sessions" page. All hours tutored between June 1 and August 31 will be counted, even if you enroll after June 1.
YES! You can enroll for Summer Study Buddies directly from your dashboard. There is no application and it's completely free! Once enrolled you will see a countdown to 25 hours on your dashboard and you'll receive periodic email updates with your progress. If you are a new student or tutor, you simply need to apply to our general program first and then enroll in SSB on your dashboard.
